Dear Pianists,
I would like to encourage you to apply for an IX Paderewski International Piano Competition. The top winners will receive the opportunity to perform at the winners concerts of our Chopin and Paderewski competitions in 2024 and a group of pianists will be invited to perform in the international concerts and events in USA and Poland when the world situation will allow us to do so. We have also decided to add the "Young Talents" category up 10 years old. Other categories are "Junior" up 13, "Young Artist" up 17 and "Professional" with no age limit. Repertoire will be free in that edition. The competition will accept also older recordings, even from other competitions and auditions.
Maestro Paderewski was not only a wonderful pianist but also Polish-American patriot, prime minister of Poland and privately great friend of US President Woodrow Wilson. Thanks to his political engagement, Poland resuscitated its lost independence after World War I. He belonged to the world's most eminent pianists. His arrivals after world concert tours to Paso Robles, CA, where he resided were real festivities with all city inhabitants walking in procession to meet him.
I believe, International Paderewski Piano Competition will gain your attention. The most interesting pianists will be discovered and recommended to our international partners around the world. I hope to see you this May.
Good luck.
Dr. Krystian Tkaczewski
Artistic Director
